"George Sluppick puts a lot of funk into a medium tempo,
and recalls the kings of heavy foot: musicians like John Bonham
and Gregg Errico from Sly and the Family Stone, who drove
their bass-drum beats into your spine."
-- Ben Ratliff, New York Times
Hey y'all, thanks for stopping by my site and please take
a minute to have a look around. I've been keeping real busy
lately at home here in Memphis, on the road and in the studio,
playing and recording with many great artists. My latest project,
the City Champs, is a funky, soul trio featuring Al Gamble
and Joe Restivo, which I’m having a blast playing with.
I’m also backing up the fantastic Memphis soul troubadours,
the Bo-Keys and we’ve got a lot of great shows coming
up. So, be sure and check out the "gigs" page to
find out where I'm gonna be and remember...git yer dang tookus
offa that couch, come see a show and support live music!
Much love,
